Psalm 119:30
“I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid before me.” When Jesus spoke to Mary and Martha showing them the difference of their priorities, He also left us an example to follow. Luke 10:41-42 “And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.” But what was “that good part” that Mary chose? Luke 10:39 “And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.” Mary made a choice. She chose to sit at the feet of her Saviour, and listen to what He had to say. We must make the choice to learn from, listen to, and love the Word of God. We must also make the choice to follow the “way of truth” rather than false doctrine. When we feel overwhelmed or need help to continue in the Word, we can simply ask the Lord to help us. Psalm 119:173 “Let thine hand help me; for I have chosen thy precepts.” If we want the Lord to order our steps, we must make the choice to apply God’s Word to our lives. We should always make it a point to have God included in all the plans that we make in our lives. I know that it sounds a bit cliche but there have been many lives that were changed because they chose to take the right path. When we know that the path we are trying to cross is for the betterment of everything, all our worries subside. It's because we have put so much trust on God that no one can actually break it anymore!
