Proverbs 20:12
“The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the LORD hath made even both of them.” It is so easy to forget that we are God’s creation. If our ears can hear, it is God who allowed it. If our eyes can see, it is God that gave us sight. Proverbs 20:13 “Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread.” It is also easy to love sleep. If we spend most of the time that God gives us sleeping our lives away, we will miss out on the purpose that He also gave us. It is time for us to open our eyes to what the Word of God has to say. Psalm 119:18 “Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.” It is time for us to be satisfied with the Bread of Life. John 6:35 “And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.” God has given us everything that we need written within the pages of His Word. If we cannot find the answer, perhaps we should not be asking the question. We have no wisdom without seeking Him. May we open our eyes today to what God has for us. We will not find true purpose or passion without seeking Him through the Word of God that He preserved so that we could know Him. Bible Reading: Exodus 9-10 | Matthew 9 | Proverbs 30
