Psalm 119:31
“I have stuck unto thy testimonies: O LORD, put me not to shame.” Once we make the choice to apply God’s Word, we must then consistently choose to adhere to His Word. In order to follow through with our choice, we must make our walk with Him consistent and constant. David wanted to stick with the right way, and not be found unfaithful. Psalm 63:7-8 “Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice. My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.” Who is seated at the right hand of the Father? Jesus Christ. David knew the importance of the Right Hand upholding him each day as he walked with God. John 8:31-32 “Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Jesus is also telling us to continue in His Word. We must cling to the Word each day. Do you desire to read the Scriptures or are you reading out of obligation? Job 23:11-12 “My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined. Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.” We must crave the Word as much as our daily food. For our spirit needs nourishment as often, if not more, than our physical body. If we want the Lord to order our steps, we must choose to not only apply but also adhere to the Word of God consistently. Bible Reading: Exodus 10-11 | Matthew 10 | Proverbs 31
