January 31 - Expect.

Matthew 9:28-29
"…Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.”
 
“Dear friends, let us expect that God is going to use us. Let us have courage, and go forward, looking to God to do great things.” D.L. Moody
 
God will meet you at your expectation.
 
If the blind men had said, “No, we don’t believe you are able to open our eyes”, would Jesus had healed them? Not could Jesus have healed them, because we know He can do anything He sees fit to do. But would he?
 
The Bible tells us that “without faith it is impossible to please him”. We must believe that He is Who He said He is. We must believe that He is a Rewarder of those that diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11 is filled with people who believed that God could help them in their situation. They sought His power, and He not only met them at their expectation, but He exceeded it. He is the same God today, and He can do the same thing with us and for us.
 
If we go through life asking God to do something, and then not believe that He can or will, we have greatly failed. God not only wants us to ask Him, He wants us to believe that it will happen.
 
Do you need something today? Ask Him. Then believe that He will move in your situation according to His will for your life.
 
Do you have a desire to be used of God? Make yourself available. Then believe He will use you.
