Psalm 119:6
“Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.” When our ways are directed by obeying The Word of God, we will respect the Scripture and the Truth that It contains. When we have a right respect for God’s Word we will not be ashamed of It. “No shame in the presence of man will hinder us when the fear of God has taken full possession of our minds.” C.H. Spurgeon Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” Those who truly respect the Word of God are not ashamed to proclaim It as Truth. Since the Gospel of Jesus Christ is found within the Scripture, we can rightly apply that the Word “is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth.” This power is available to anyone who chooses to believe that Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose again to make a way for salvation for them. We must desire to be grounded in the Scriptures, so that we can develop a boldness to proclaim the Truth of the Gospel. Psalm 119:80 “Let my heart be sound in thy statutes; that I be not ashamed.” If we want the Lord to order our steps we must not be ashamed of His Word.
