Proverbs 19:3
“The foolishness of man perverteth his way: and his heart fretteth against the LORD.” From the Garden of Eden to where each of us is today, our sin interferes with who we are and where we go. Adam and Eve lived in innocence until sin interfered. Genesis 3:6-7 “And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.” We inherited the consequence of their sin. Romans 5:12 “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” Christ’s death and resurrection make it possible for us to live in Wisdom despite the sin we inherited. Romans 5:19 “For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.” Even in righteousness, sin still tries to interfere; therefore, we must be aware of how sin can interfere with our walk with the Lord. Sin twists our thoughts until we start to justify the actions that God condemns. Sin twists our beliefs until we begin to question what the Word of God says. Resist the interference of sin today by guarding your heart with the Truth. Bible Reading: Genesis 11-12 | John 6 | Proverbs 6
