Joshua 14:12
“Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the LORD will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the LORD said.” How often do we just depend on ourselves to get something done? The number of times we are successful at that cannot be too high. We fail in our own strength because we are limited creatures. Yet, if we would only look to our Creator for strength, the possibilities are endless. Caleb realized this. He was 85 years old and declared himself as strong as he was 45 years ago…simply because he knew the Source of his strength. “…if so be the LORD will be with me …” His presence makes all the difference. The three Hebrew boys displayed this same Truth in hearts before they were thrown into the fiery furnace. They knew God was able to deliver them. Daniel 3:17 “If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.” We have read and heard what God has done for others. We can even remember what He has done for us in the past. “…if so be the LORD will be with me, then I shall be able…” When we acknowledge Him in all things, we are able to see Him do all things through us. Romans 8:31 “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Bible Reading: 2 Chronicles 13-14 | 1 Timothy 5
