Proverbs 28:21
“To have respect of persons is not good: for for a piece of bread that man will transgress.” God is not a respecter of persons. He is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance by grace and through faith in Him. Acts 10:34-35 “Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.” He does not pick and choose, but rather gives each person a choice to make. Have you chosen Him? John 3:15-16 “That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” He is a Whosoever God. As His children, we are to be a Whosoever People. We are to have no respect of persons – no picking and choosing based upon prior judgment, discrimination or status. James 2:9-10 “But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors. For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.” The Psalmist penned that all it takes for the man who has respect of persons to sin is a piece of bread. A single piece of bread is enough for a judging person to sin against a holy God. How fast are we to discriminate against another one of God’s children? Or even worse, to judge someone before they meet Him? How much does it take us to sin? Bible Reading: 2 Chronicles 25-26 | 1 Timothy 6 | Proverbs 15

Respect is a big word. It is not just given, but in today's generation, it might be just given. With the establishment of coercive power, people around you might somehow respect just because of fear. It happens mostly in the corporate world. When you truly respect someone, it is the natural way of response of a person towards to the one who he really respects. It is not just a toy, but it is earned. It is simple too, as long as each of you will give respect, even without minding the hierarchy, everyone will give and receive respect too.

Respect is about gaining and not about paying or what. It is a big responsibility and a big kind of action that we must practice to give and to show. Even if the person did you wrong, do not lower yourself by disrespecting others. I agree that God made sins in order for people also to learn, but we can respect even if we don't make sense. Isn't it good in the feeling when people give you respect and you know in yourself that you really deserves it.
