July 20 - The Residence Of Wisdom.

When we think of wisdom and knowledge the head often comes to mind; however, Biblical wisdom does not start there.
 
Proverbs 2:10
“When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;”
 
Godly wisdom begins in our heart the moment we place our faith in Jesus Christ as our Saviour. Those that only have a head knowledge of Him have no Wisdom at all.
 
1 Corinthians 2:14
“But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”
 
We cannot discern what the Word of God says without the Holy Spirit residing in us. Our hearts must be the residence of Wisdom.
 
Psalm 19:7-8
“The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.”
 
The Scriptures will enlighten our eyes to the Truth if only we will take the time to read. Spiritual knowledge is pleasant to our souls, and can only be found within the Word.
 
Psalm 19:9-10
“The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.”
