When we engrave the Word upon our hearts, we begin to expand our faith in Him. We should not take one step of faith without being directed by the Word of God. In the Old Testament, what we usually refer to as faith today is often described as trust.
Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” Where is your trust today? There are only three options: In the world, in yourself, or in Him. Proverbs 28:26 “He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.” When we choose to lean upon our own wisdom or understanding, we have no faith and will surely fail. We are nothing without Him! John 15:5 “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” Proverbs 3:6 “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” These popular verses in Proverbs 3 are within the context of blessings that are available when we choose to make the Word of God a priority. Trusting in the Lord is to trust in His Word. Rather than leaning on our own understanding, we can choose to find understanding through His Word. Trust & Acknowledge Him today.
