Isaiah 6:8
“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.” God desires for us to be willing to follow whatever He commands. He will not force us to believe in Him, trust in Him, or work for Him. We must be willing! Willing to Send. Sometimes God calls us to send help to those in need. Acts 11:29 “Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea:” Willing to Serve. Sometimes God calls us display His love by serving others. Galatians 5:13 “For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.” Willing to Stand. Sometimes God calls us to take a stand against something that is wrong. 1 Corinthians 16:13 “Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.” Willing to Separate. Sometimes God calls us to separate ourselves from others. 2 Corinthians 6:17 “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,” Willing to Suffer. Sometimes God calls us to suffer for His sake. 1 Peter 4:16 “Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.” Willing to Sacrifice. Sometimes God calls us to make a sacrifice for His glory. Romans 12:1 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” Unless we are willing to answer God’s call, we will never see what could have happened if we would just say to the Lord, “Here am I; send me.” Bible Reading: Ezra 3-4 | Hebrews 4 | Proverbs 28
