oPsalm 119:161
“Princes have persecuted me without a cause: but my heart standeth in awe of thy word.” Instead of fearing his persecutors, David focused on his love for Word. Psalm 119:37-39 “Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way. Stablish thy word unto thy servant, who is devoted to thy fear. Turn away my reproach which I fear: for thy judgments are good.” When our heart stands in awe of the Word of God, we highly regard the Truth It contains. Those that fear the Lord have a great reverence for His Word. Hebrews 12:27-29 “And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: For our God is a consuming fire.” Stand in awe of His Word today. Regardless of what may come our way, we can choose to obey the Scriptures. Psalm 4:4 “Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.” If we want the Lord to order our steps, we must stand in awe of His Word. Bible Reading: 1 Kings 19-20 | 2 Corinthians 11 | Psalm 130
