June 29 - Seek & Shine.

Proverbs 28:5
“Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things.”
 
The foolish cannot truly understand the difference between right and wrong, because they simply do not know the Truth.
 
There can be no true discernment where there is no Holy Spirit.
1 Corinthians 2:11-14
“For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”
 
The Spirit of God reveals unto His children the things of God.
Wisdom is available to us if only we will ask Him. He chooses to reveal His understanding through His Word.
 
Colossians 3:16
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”
 
Without the Truth and Wisdom of the Word, there is only a form of godliness; which only leads to confusion and deception.
 
Satan has blinded the minds of those who do not know God.
2 Corinthians 4:3-4
“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”
 
We must continually seek the Lord through His Word so that we can shine the Light within the darkness of this world. When we shine, He is glorified.
 
Matthew 5:16
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
 
The eternal state and forgiveness of others depends on our obedience to share the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. God is able and willing to forgive our sins, when we ask; yet many have no knowledge that they are in need of Him. We have been commissioned to tell them.
 
Acts 26:18
“To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.”
 
It is our purpose to shine for Him, but we must first seek to know Him.
Seek Him today while shining the Light for all to see.
