Isaiah 58:9-11
“Then shalt thou call, and the Lord shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity; And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noon day; And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.” Aren’t you glad that the Lord is always there when we cry out to Him? Have you ever felt like He said “Here I am” to you just when you needed Him? How encouraging it is to know that our Heavenly Father has His ears open to us. What a privilege! When we earnestly come to the Lord in prayer, and seek His face for help, we will never leave disappointed. The Lord wants to guide us to exactly what we need. He will continually guide us if we will continually seek Him. When our souls are dry and in need of a drink, the Water of Life is always there to satisfy our longing as only He can. Not only will He quench our thirst, the Bread of Life will make fat our bones. He wants to feed and strengthen us when we are hungry. And like the miracle of the multiplication, there is always more Bread than the need demands. He is more than enough! Bible Reading: I Kings 5-6 | II Corinthians 5 | Psalm 124
