Proverbs 29:25
“The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.” Fearfulness of what others will do or think of us is often used as an excuse while we wait. The Lord calls this a snare…a trap or cause of injury. Traps have bait to lure their prey into destruction. Mice want the cheese or peanut butter, yet when they receive it they are met with their demise. Does that not sound like how our enemy tries to allure us into sin by the very thing our flesh craves? Psalm 91:2-3 “I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.” The Lord is Able to deliver us from any snare the devil places in our path, but the choice is ours of whether to trust Him to do so. Proverbs 30:5 “Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.” There is safety in trusting Him. Why would we want to delay our deliverance? Proverbs 18:10 “The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.” Run to Him today. Bible Reading: 1 Kings 9-10 | 2 Corinthians 7
