Proverbs 23:19
“Hear thou, my son, and be wise, and guide thine heart in the way.” A fear of the Lord creates within us the desire and ability to hear and obey the Truth. It is through the Holy Spirit that we are guided through the Scriptures. John 16:13 “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.” Guiding Wisdom comes by hearing. Romans 10:17 “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” As we hear the Word, we receive Wisdom; which then guides our hearts in the way we should go. Psalm 31:3 “For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me.” Psalm 32:8 “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.” Good Instructions lead to understanding and willful obedience. If we neglect to make good decisions, perhaps the reason is our indifference or refusal to adhere to the Instructions we have been given. The guidance of the Lord satisfies our thirsty souls. Isaiah 58:11 “And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.” If you feel lost, there is guidance in His Word to fulfill your every need. Allow Him to guide you today. Bible Reading: Deuteronomy 25-26 | Mark 16 | Proverbs 30
