Proverbs 22:10
“Cast out the scorner, and contention shall go out; yea, strife and reproach shall cease.” A scorner sows discord among the brethren, causing conflict wherever they go. The devil has a way of planting these people within our lives and our churches in order to distract and discourage us from our purpose. Scorners disturb the peace of God within our hearts. With no peace, we have no way to be effective in our cause; therefore, we must cast them out and avoid them. Cast out the scorners by bringing your situation to the Lord through prayer and supplication. When we bring our needs to Him, our problems are replaced with peace. Philippians 4:6-7 “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Sometimes casting out the scorner involves removing ourselves from the situation. When scorn creeps into our own hearts, it has an effect on those around us. If the Lord reveals that we have scornfulness in our hearts we must react quickly to remove it. Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Bible Reading: Numbers 15-16 | Luke 17 | Proverbs 7
