May 12 - Renew Our Love.

Psalm 119:132
“Look thou upon me, and be merciful unto me, as thou usest to do unto those that love thy name.”
 
The Lord’s deliverance and mercy is only a prayer away for those that love Him. In times of discouragement and distress, we must first remind ourselves what God has done for us and renew our love for Him.
 
John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
 
The Reason for Our Love For Him
1 John 4:19
“We love him, because he first loved us.”
 
The Rejoicing Of Our Love For Him
Psalm 5:11-12
“But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.”
 
The Results of Our Love For Him
Psalm 91:14-16
“Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.”
 
Our love for God, His Name and His Word must be shown in our daily walk with Him and for Him.
 
John 14:15
“If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
 
If we want the Lord to order our steps, we must renew our love for Him, His Name, and His Word.
