Psalm 119:136
“Rivers of waters run down mine eyes, because they keep not thy law.” Where are our tears for the lost? We must cry out to the Lord for those that do not know Him. When we weep over the souls of men as we sow the Seed of the Word of God, He promises that we shall one day reap in joy. Psalm 126:5-6 “They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.” We must weep for them before they weep for all eternity. Matthew 8:12 “But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” When was the last time you wept for someone’s soul? Our desire to see others come to know the Lord should be evident in our daily walk for Him. Romans 10:1 “Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.” If we want the Lord to order our steps, we must ask Him to renew our burden for the lost.
