May 23 - Delight Within The Word.

Psalm 119:143
“Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me: yet thy commandments are my delights.”
 
We know we will face trouble within our Christian lives.
 
2 Timothy 3:12
“Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.”
 
The trouble and persecution we face does not have to take away our delight in the Word of God. Instead, our trials should make us enjoy the Scriptures even more.
 
Psalm 119:77
“Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live: for thy law is my delight.”
 
We can be happy amidst our troubles as we find delight within the Word.
 
Psalm 94:19
“In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.”
 
No matter what may come our way, we can rest assured that delight is waiting for us within the pages of our Bibles.
 
Psalm 1:1-2
“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”
 
If we want the Lord to order our steps, we must find delight within the Word of God.
