Psalm 119:147
“I prevented the dawning of the morning, and cried: I hoped in thy word.” Sometimes our trials keep us awake to even see the sun rising in the morning. Instead of crying over our troubles, we can choose to cry unto Him. Psalm 5:3 “My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.” We can find hope within the pages of the Word of God, for He is our Hope! We must patiently wait on Him to work within our situation. Psalm 130:5-6 “I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.” Jesus Christ left us an example of praying before the rising of the sun. He purposefully set Himself apart into a solitary place in order to spend time with His Heavenly Father. Mark 1:35 “And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.” The Word of God reassures us that though we may cry, our weeping will soon be replaced by joy. Psalm 30:5 “…weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” If we want the Lord to order our steps, we must seek hope in the morning.
