Psalm 119:125
“I am thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies.” This is the attitude that we should have each day that we live. We can be confident of who we are in Christ, while asking God to give us wisdom through His Word. Philippians 3:8-11 “Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.” God wants us to know Him. Do we desire to know Him? Jeremiah 9:24 “But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.” God wants us to know His Word. Do we desire to know the Scripture? 2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” The only way we can know Him is through His Word. John 5:39 “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.” If we want the Lord to order our steps, we must remember what He wants us to know through His Word.
