Psalm 119:127
“Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold.” Often in this chapter we find a love for God’s Word expressed. Our devotion to The Word is directly proportional to our love for Him. Psalm 119:97 “O how love I thy law! It is my meditation all the day.” “Therefore…” Though others have made void the Word of God, we can choose to express our love for the Scriptures. Psalm 119:159 “Consider how I love thy precepts: quicken me, O LORD, according to thy lovingkindness.” Our desire to love the Word of God directly depends on our perspective of the Word. Psalm 19:9-10 “The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.” If we want the Lord to order our steps, we must express our love for the Word of God.
