May 8 - The Truth Of The Truth.

Psalm 119:128
“Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way.”
 
Do we live as if we believe that the Truth is the Truth?
 
2 Samuel 7:28
“And now, O Lord GOD, thou art that God, and thy words be true, and thou hast promised this goodness unto thy servant:”
 
The Truth of the Word of God brings rejoicing.
Psalm 19:7-8
“The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.”
 
We rejoice over that which we love.
 
“Therefore…”
Our love for the Word is shown in our belief in the Truth of the Word of God. It should cause us to “hate every false way”.
 
May we love the Word of God so much that we choose to flee from and avoid anything that is contrary to the Truth.
 
Romans 12:9
“Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.”
 
How can we know the Truth of the Truth?
2 Timothy 2:15
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
 
If we want the Lord to order our steps, we must believe in the Truth of the Truth.
