1 Samuel 26:6
“Then answered David and said to Ahimelech the Hittite, and to Abishai the son of Zeruiah, brother to Joab, saying, Who will go down with me to Saul to the camp? And Abishai said, I will go down with thee.” These six words describe the attitude that every Christian should have in regards to the Will of God and the Great Commission. Who will go? I will go. Are we willing to utter those words? With them comes great responsibility and great rewards. Mark 16:15 “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” So few answer the call, but God has not stopped calling. Many have stopped listening. In order to hear God’s call we must first stop and listen. Isaiah 6:8 “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.” Your call may not be into what we often refer to as “full time ministry”, but God is calling. Your call may be to the place you work in, the school you attend, or the home you raise your children. We are all called to serve Him full time. Regardless of where, God is still calling. Have you answered Him? Luke 5:4 “Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.” Once we have answered the call to what God has for us, we must launch out. We cannot accomplish the will or work of God by standing still. When we launch out by faith into the Work and Will of God we may find ourselves in deep water, but we must let down our nets. God is Faithful to protect us and provide for us as we follow His direction. We must only be willing to answer “Who will go?” with “I will go.” Bible Reading: Ezekiel 3-4 | Ephesians 5 | Psalm 105
