Esther 2:17
“And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.” She. She required nothing when it was her turn to go unto the king. Esther 2:15 “Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, was come to go in unto the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king's chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appointed. And Esther obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her.” The king loved her more than all the other women. So much so that she obtained grace and favour in his sight. She received the royal crown which made her queen. She was obedient to Mordecai. She still had not revealed that she was a Jew. Esther 2:20 “Esther had not yet shewed her kindred nor her people; as Mordecai had charged her: for Esther did the commandment of Mordecai, like as when she was brought up with him.” Esther also serves as an example that we are able to obtain grace and favour in the sight of our King. Psalm 75:6-7 “For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.” He will also promote us if only we are willing and obedient unto Him. Bible Reading: Ezekiel 15-16 | Mark 2 | Psalm 72-73
