November 17 - Gladness & Order.

Proverbs 15:20-21
“A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish man despiseth his mother. Folly is joy to him that is destitute of wisdom: but a man of understanding walketh uprightly.”
 
Wisdom brings gladness.
A child that walks in the Truth brings joy to their parents.
 
3 John 4
“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.”
 
Whether or not we are blessed with a Christian heritage, we have a Heavenly Father Who likewise has no greater joy than to see that His children walk in the Truth.
 
Wisdom brings order.
The more we understand the Word, the more we see that He orders our steps.
 
Psalm 37:23
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.”
 
Whether or not we realize it at the time, God knows each step we take and directs us according to His will for our lives. He creates divine appointments that cannot be explained apart from His doing. Thank Him for ordering your steps!
