November 22 - Focused Wisdom.

Proverbs 16:1
“The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD.”

Anything wise that we say or think does not originate with us, but is from the Lord. He made us and gave us everything that we have. We are nothing without a Him, for there is nothing good about us outside of Him.

Proverbs 16:2
“All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits.”

Though we may have good intentions or simply think that we are guiltless, God knows our hearts and motives. He sees what we cannot see. We look on the outside, while He looks upon our hearts and sees us for who we really are.

Proverbs 16:3
“Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.”

In the chaos of the world we live in, it is so easy to get distracted. When we commit every thing we do unto the Lord, we are rolling the weight of it on Him, allowing Him to carry the burden for us. This allows us to keep our focus on Him, and the direction He has for us within His Word.

Today…
Acknowledge Him in all that you do.
Submit to Him as He speaks to your heart.
Commit that weight unto Him.
Rest and focus on Him.
