Proverbs 16:8-9
“Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right. A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.” We may desire to be rich in revenue, but the Lord knows what is best. He provides every need when we choose seek Him first. Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” When we begin to realize the amount of blessings we have in Him, we find we are much richer than we could ever be without Him. Ephesians 1:17-19 “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,” Our wealth on earth fades away quickly, for it is only temporal. The riches that are found in Christ are eternal; they will never fade away. Romans 11:33-36 “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor? Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again? For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.” His direction is worth more than anything money can buy. Sometimes we do not even realize that the Lord has directed us to exactly where we need to be, but He does just that each and every single day. He orders our steps away from sin. Psalm 119:133 “Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.” He orders our steps to protect us and lead us to the right people and places. Psalm 32:8 “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.” When we allow Him to direct us, we can never go wrong; for He knows what is best.
