November 27 - Just & Righteous.

Proverbs 16:10
“A divine sentence is in the lips of the king: his mouth transgresseth not in judgment.”
 
God sets up kings and changes kings according to His will. Those in government and leadership are placed there because God orchestrated it to fulfill His divine purpose and plan.
 
Proverbs 16:11
“A just weight and balance are the LORD'S: all the weights of the bag are his work.”
 
God desires for all people to treat others and be treated justly, for He is Just. A balance scale is often used as a symbol for justice and government. In order for it to be equally balanced, the same amount of weight must be placed on each side.
 
Proverbs 16:12-15
“It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness. Righteous lips are the delight of kings; and they love him that speaketh right. The wrath of a king is as messengers of death: but a wise man will pacify it. In the light of the king's countenance is life; and his favour is as a cloud of the latter rain.”
 
There is no righteousness where there is no Wisdom, for He is Righteous. Righteousness must be the foundation of leadership, for we cannot rightly lead if we are not righteous. When a leader does not possess righteousness, they are dependent upon their own abilities instead of the Lord.
 
Deuteronomy 32:4
“He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.”
 
The Lord is Just and Righteous.
Allow Him to be your Rock today.
