November 28 - Much Better.

Proverbs 16:16
“How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!”
 
There are some things that are much better than anything money can buy; yet they are at our disposal if we will simply choose them.
 
It is much better to fear the Lord.
Job 28:28
“And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.”
 
Psalm 34:9
“O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.”
 
Proverbs 9:10
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.”
 
It is much better to understand.
1 Kings 3:9
“Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?”
 
Psalm 119:34
“Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.”
 
Psalm 119:104
“Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.”
 
It is much better to have Wisdom.
Proverbs 3:13
“Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.”
 
Proverbs 4:7
“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.”
 
Proverbs 8:10-11
“Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.”
 
Today, seek to choose the things that are much better.
