November 6 - Sound Hearts.

Proverbs 14:30
“A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.”
 
The health of our hearts determines the fate of our lives.
 
Leviticus 17:11
“For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.”
 
Our hearts are born diseased by the sin of man, in need of the cure of forgiveness. This cure can only be found through the blood of the Healer.
 
Ephesians 1:7
“In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;”
 
Until we place our faith in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for us, we are dead in our sins. It is His blood that truly gives us life.
 
Romans 6:23
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
 
Our hearts are then transformed through the power of His Word.
In the Word, we find the remedy for every thing.
 
Psalm 119:80
“Let my heart be sound in thy statutes; that I be not ashamed.”
 
When our hearts are sound in Him, we truly begin to live.
