Proverbs 12:20-21
“Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy. There shall no evil happen to the just: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief.” When we are counseled from the Word of God, we will find peace in the midst of our circumstance. That peace, the peace of God brings joy. We can rejoice in Him, regardless of what is happening in our lives, when we remember that He is in control. Philippians 4:4-7 “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” The peace of God keeps our hearts and minds focused on Christ. The Word must be applied to our lives in everything that we do. The places we go. The company we keep. The words we speak. Proverbs 12:22-23 “Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight. A prudent man concealeth knowledge: but the heart of fools proclaimeth foolishness.” Those that “deal truly” are those that live truthfully by faith. Could that be said of you today? Our faith must not lay in ourselves or those around us, but in the One Who gave us everything and everyone that we have. A prudent man keeps quiet when need be, but he also speaks the Truth of his faith regardless of the consequences. Live truthfully today, and proclaim your faith in Him.
