October 12 - He Will Speak Peace.

Psalm 85:8
“I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.”
 
We all desire peace, yet so often look for it in all the wrong places.
 
Amazon cannot deliver peace…for no amount of material goods will speak peace to your heart. 
 
A drink or drug may deceive you into a temporary fix, only leaving the desire for more to fill the void. 
 
Our favorite destination spot may help us avoid our problems for a few days, but eventually it is back to reality.
 
True peace is only found in God, who is the Author.
 
1 Corinthians 14:33
“For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.”
 
For us to find peace, we must first listen to what He has to say.
 
Psalm 85:8
“I will hear what God the LORD will speak…”
 
He has promised to speak peace to our weary souls.
 
Psalm 85:8
“…for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints…”
 
No matter what you are going through today, He will speak peace to your heart if you will simply hear what His Word says.
 
Philippians 4:7
“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
 
John 14:27
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
 
You will never find peace if your Bible is closed.
