October 13 - The Father's Instructions.

Proverbs 13:1
“A wise son heareth his father's instruction: but a scorner heareth not rebuke.”

Just like a son obeys the teaching and guidance of his father, as children of God, we must heed to what our Father has to say. His Instructions are waiting for us within the pages of His Word.

He has inspired His Instructions for us. They are not just another man’s opinion or advice, but rather are the God-breathed inspired Words which the Holy Spirit told the writers to pen down for every generation to follow. 

2 Timothy 3:16-17
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”

He has preserved His Instructions for us. They have not nor will they ever change. If they did, they would not be preserved. He has promised is that He will protect and provide Them for every generation. He desires for all to come to know Him.

Psalm 12:6-7
“The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.”

His Wisdom is waiting for us within His Word, we need only receive Him with willing hearts.

We are to obey His instructions.
Luke 11:28
“But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.”

We are to delight in His instructions.
Psalm 119:47
“And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved.”

If we desire to be wise, we must first and foremost hear our Heavenly Father’s Instructions.
