October 15 - Diligent Wisdom.

Proverbs 13:4
“The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.”

Diligence is shown by being incisive and sharp. Where else should we go to sharpen our lives but the Sword of the Spirit. The Word of God is sharper than any twoedged sword, and God desires to pierce through the wickedness I’d our flesh by the power of His Word.

We have nothing and are nothing without the Word. 
With the Word of God applied to our lives, anything is possible for nothing is impossible with Him.

2 Peter 1:5-11
“And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.”

When we love according to the Word of God, we are promised a fruitful life full of Wisdom.

Proverbs 3:13-15,18
“Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her...She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.”

Make the choice today to be diligent and not sluggish in your walk with the Lord through His Word.
