Isaiah 43:2
“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” Many times in our lives it feels like the situation we are in will never end. We are convinced that the storm will never cease, the waves will always crash, and the wind will always rage. The truth is, in those moments, we have forgotten Whose we are. Isaiah 43:1 “But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.” Because we are His, we can look at our storms and trials differently. “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee…” When we are in deep waters, we can past through them because He promises He will be with us. “…and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee…” Remember the Lord parting the Red Sea? He can hold back the waters of the rivers in front of us so that we can pass through without them overflowing upon us. “…when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” The three Hebrew boys experienced this and found very promise to be true. We can walk through our fires without being burned or even smelling like smoke. Whatever you are facing today, He can lead you through. Psalm 23:4 “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” Bible Reading: Jeremiah 11-12 | Psalm 4-6
