1 Peter 1:6
“Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:” What is your favorite season? Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer. Baseball, football, basketball, soccer. Waiting, trusting, rejoicing, mourning, growing, moving, standing still. “for a season” A promise that our circumstance today will not last forever. Seasons come and seasons go. Sometimes we rejoice for a season, and sometimes we mourn. Sometimes we wait, sometimes we move forward. Ecclesiastes 3:1 “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:” A new season comes to bring about a needed change. “if need be” Sometimes the Lord allows a season, for which only He knows the reason. Rest assured that if He sees fit to allow it, He knows we need something that will come out of it. He has a reason, and He has a purpose. 1 Peter 1:7 “That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:” The trials we face all have one thing in common…His purpose. No matter the trial, His purpose remains the same…that it might bring Him praise, honour and glory. “though it be tried with fire” How we handle ourselves in the fire, the choices me make, will determine whether people see us or they see Him. Whatever season you are facing today, allow Him to get the glory through it. Bible Reading: Jeremiah 13-14 | Psalm 7-9
