Psalm 119:18
“Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.” Do we desire for the Lord to show us something new each time we open our Bible? If we only read out of duty or obligation, we are reading in vain. Do we desire that God speaks to us through His Word while also patiently listening to what He has to say? If we want to see wondrous things out of the Word of God, we need only ask for Him to show us. Jeremiah 33:3 “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” There must be Light in order for us to see. “Let there be light” The first recorded Words spoken by God in Scripture. God spoke, and there was Light. In order for us to see, we must listen to what God has to say. We have the Light of the World living inside of us to enlighten our hearts to the Truth of the Word. The more we ask God to open our eyes by His Light, the more He will show us through His Word. Ephesians 1:17-18 “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,” Open your eyes to the Truth of His Word today.
