Proverbs 12:1
“Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish.” When we love the instruction of Wisdom we will in turn love the knowledge of His Word. We must renew our love for the Word of God every day of our lives. Profitable Instruction The Wisdom of the Word of God is given to us so that our lives my be changed for our good and His glory. 2 Timothy 3:16 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” Powerful Knowledge The Word of God possesses a power unlike any other this world has ever known. We need only apply His Word to our lives to experience that power. Proverbs 2:1-7 “My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.” The Word of God is profitable and powerful, yet it is available to anyone willing to receive It. Romans 1:16-17 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” Bible Reading: Isaiah 49-50 | John 1 | Proverbs 5
