Proverbs 10:3
“The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked.” God offers His Word to feed the hungry souls of His children, yet He casts away that of the wicked. Proverbs 10:4 “He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.” God does not reward laziness, but He offers abundant blessings to those who work diligently for His cause. Proverbs 10:5 “He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.” God desires us to work while we have the ability and time to do so, for the time will come when we will have no more opportunities. Proverbs 10:6 “Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.” Every blessing we possess is because of Christ, and those without Him will have no excuse for the future that awaits them. Proverbs 10:7 “The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot.” We all must die, but the legacy we leave is of our choosing.
