Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Trust, n. 1. To have confidence in; reliance or resting of the mind on the integrity, justice, friendship or other principle of another person or thing. We can have confidence in our Saviour! In the big things and all the little details, we can trust Jesus for He knows what is best. All throughout the Scripture we find reasons we can trust in Him. There are countless examples from the lives of His children and promises that He will always be there to answer our call and place our trust in Him. Trust In Him When You Don’t Understand. Job 13:15 “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.” Trust In Him When You Need Deliverance. Psalm 37:40 “And the Lord shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.” Trust In Him When You’re In Trouble. Nahum 1:7 “The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.” Trust In Him Because His Word Is True. Proverbs 30:5 “Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.” Trust In Him All The Time. Psalm 62:8 “Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.” Trust in Him with all your heart today. Don’t depend on what you think you know. Acknowledge that He knows what is best for you and your situation. Allow Him to direct your paths in accordance with His will for your life. Regardless of your situation, you can trust in Him.
