September 15 - Sow Wisely.

​What are you laying up in store today for the future? Every day we make a choice whether to live in the past, to live for today or to live in light of eternity.

Matthew 6:19-21
“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”

The things on earth we invest in will only last for a season, but when we invest in heavenly things the rewards will last forever. It is possible to invest in good things on earth that still have only temporal rewards. 

How are you investing your time?
How are you investing your talent?
How are you investing your treasure?

God sees not only what we are investing in, but also how we go about doing so. He sees our motives, even when we think no one is watching.

Galatians 6:7-9
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Seek to sow wisely today, so that you can reap eternal rewards to lay at the Saviour’s feet.
