September 18 - A Few Benefits Of Wisdom.

Proverbs 10:26
“As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.”

God has sent us with a purpose to fulfill…His purpose for our lives. When we are sluggish or lazy in our pursuit of His purpose, we displease Him. We must press on and delight in Him as we reap the benefits that can be found in following the Lord.

Proverbs 10:27
“The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.”

The Lord preserves those that fear Him. Remember this is where wisdom begins. Until we have a right view of Who God is, we cannot live in wisdom. 

Proverbs 10:28
“The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.”

We can find joy as we hope in the Lord. His timing may seem inconvenient, but His timing is always right. Trust in Him today to carry you through the trial you are facing.

Proverbs 10:29
“The way of the LORD is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.”

When we walk with the Lord, He gives us strength as we yield ourselves and our weaknesses to Him. The Way of the Lord is found in the Word. We must read and heed to what He has to say each and everyday that we live.

Preservation, hope, joy, strength…these are just a few of the benefits that God bestows upon His children. Abide in His love today and every day.
