Proverbs 10:31-32
“The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but the froward tongue shall be cut out. The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness.” The words we say speak volumes about the state of our heart. Luke 6:45 “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.” If we speak wisely, others may see the Righteousness of God within us. If we speak foolishly, others may see the lack of Wisdom within us. What do we desire for others to see in us by our words? To be seen of others is indeed very foolish. Matthew 6:5 “And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.” To allow the Word to speak for you is the wisest way to live. Philippians 2:15-16 “That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.” Shine the Light of Wisdom to those around you today through your Words. Matthew 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Bible Reading: Isaiah 19-20 | Romans 2 | Proverbs 20
