Joshua 24:15
“And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” Joshua took a stand that day with the children of Israel. He laid it out for them that they had to make a choice of Who they were going to serve while boldly proclaiming that he and his family would serve the LORD God of Jehovah. Just like Joshua, we must make a choice today. If we choose not to serve the Lord, we choose to be against Him. There are no gray areas when it comes to serving Him. A professing Christian who does not separate themselves from the ways of the world is doing more harm than good to the Name of Christ. Luke 11:23 “He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.” James 4:4 “Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” We cannot claim to be a Christian, live like the world, and think we are making a difference. Choose today to make the choice to serve Him with your whole heart. It has been said before that no person who chooses to serve the Lord has ever regretted that decision, but there are many who chose not to serve and were full of regret. What choice will you make today? Bible Reading: Isaiah 39-40 | Romans 13 | Psalm 62
